My first attempt at HDR (high dynamic range) pictures. Basically with HDR you take 3 (or 5) photos at the same time - one under exposed, one over and one correct. You then combine the 3 photos into one new image. I'm currently using the PhotoMatix plugin for Apple's Aperture program.
HDR allows for more detail in the shadows and highlights.
