HDR Fountains - Nottingham

My first attempt at HDR (high dynamic range) pictures. Basically with HDR you take 3 (or 5) photos at the same time - one under exposed, one over and one correct. You then combine the 3 photos into one new image. I'm currently using the PhotoMatix plugin for Apple's Aperture program.

HDR allows for more detail in the shadows and highlights.

New Wallpaper Sizes

Most desktop wallpapers on the Natures-Desktop.com site are now available in multiple resolutions, everything from 320x480 iphone wallpapers to 1920x1200 wallpaper.

In total there are now 9 sizes to chose from.

Wallpaper Backgrounds

I've created a new site for pictures that can be used as desktop wallpaper backgrounds.

These are pictures that sit nicely in the background on computer desktops.

Visited Belton House in Lincolnshire in early September 2007. Very nice formal gardens.

The Italian Garden is centered around a circular pond and fountain, with a tropical Orangery at the rear of the garden.

Behind the main house are the Dutch style gardens (not sure what that means??) anyway they are also very pretty with long flat views and wide paths.


The rest of the parkland is more open with large areas of open lawn and large trees.

Location - 3 miles north of Grantham, just off the A1.
